I'm brand new to the ip camera/nvr camera setups and have just bought an 8ch Hikvision nvr box, and a few various cameras for various needs. Naively, I bought this 2CD3T45FP1 fisheye camera from Aliexpress thinking there would be no issue, it'd just slot right into this system. However when I plug it into my computer and run SADP I am unable to log into it and get the message "device rejected". From what I can gather this is most likely to it being a Chinese camera. Is this something that can be fixed with an English firmware? and if so, where can I get one?
Cheers!

However when I plug it into my computer and run SADP I am unable to log into it and get the message "device rejected".
A direct connection, or both wired to a switch or router?
Presumably you are powering it with a 12v supply.

What does SADP show for the status?
A new device would normally show as 'Inactive', requiring that you create an initial strong password to 'Activate' it.
What firmware version does SADP show for the camera?

Sorry, I've only just found out I had a reply....
I contacted the seller in China and after a lot of messing about (setting a static ip on laptop in range of camera and changing ip to a UK range), I managed to log into the the camera. Sure enough all the menus are in Chinese but Google translate helped with that through a Web interface.
However.....
Now when I plug it into my UK nvr I'm getting the error "language mismatch".
From what I've read this is due to Chinese cam, English nvr etc....
So I Googled the camera model number looking for another version of the firmware which may be in English. No luck. Literally 90% of the results send you back to Ali express, in China!
There is a version in the UK which looks identical and the specs are the same. I downloaded the English firmware for this hoping to be able to put this on. Ive tried the hikvision batch tool, through the Web gui, and through ivms and I think maybe even another program but all fail. Presumably this is simply because they are different models.
So I've contacted the seller again telling them I'm getting nowhere (it's winding me up now) and they told me the workaround for the "language mismatch" is to change the protocol to "Canon". I've not had chance to try this yet but just from googling, a new issue, if it works, is that apparently you can't use the camera functions like motion detect. Is there a way to resolve this as I don't want one camera constantly recording and having to review hours of recording if I want to check something!!!
