hikvision 4mp cameras

I've been looking into Hikvision, and the reviews on Amazon look good. But after contacting HV, they tell me that Amazon is not an 'authorized reseller' and therefor will not receive any factory warranty or support. Where would 'you' buy a Hikvision ip cam? Also, I sure see a lot of chatter on here, and elsewhere, about Chinese versions vs US sold units and the problems with updating firmware with language problems. Has this been resolved or should I look at other brands?

Thanks bp2008! I guess I don't really need 4MP, just looking for an 'outdoor' type cam to mount on the front porch to watch the front door and yard. I'll check ur links!
