Cannot get Dahua 4300s to work on the poe ports of this nvr.....work fine when plugged into a poe switch, any direction appreciated!

I've had similar issues mixing Dahua with Hikvision NVR, but funnily enough is ok the other way around Hikvision into Dahua NVR.

I never did find out why some non-hikvision OEM or Hikvision-brand cameras don't power up with Hikvision NVRs.

Sorry, I don't understand the question? Do you mean the Dahua NVR, does it auto-allocated IP? Yes, it can.

sorry, no I meant is the Hikvision unit handing them out.

It can do but I think your problem is the Dahua isn't being powered by the Hikvision. Have you got a 12V power supply you could plug into the camera whilst it's connected to the NVR?

I was wondering about a similar thing. Although I'd be using a POE switch.

I've been having real issues getting assorted cameras working over PoE with Hikvision. Using a PoE switch or 12v power supply works fine. Typical Hikvision.
