I have the Hikvision NVR setup with a PoE camera attached. On the IP camera, the recording schedule is only for motion detection via SD Card, and on the NVR the recording is continuous.
I want to backup the data on the IP camera and not the NVR. The only way to access the IP camera on the LAN, is to access it with vitual host enabled and adding the port number at the end of the NVR IP address. For example, the NVR is on 192.168.1.100 and to access the IP camera, the address is 192.168.1.100:65001. The Hikvision remote backup tool detects only the NVR on the LAN, but not the IP camera on the different port. Any suggestions how to backup the IP camera data only?
The only way I found it to work is if the IP camera is not via the NVR PoE outlet, but as a different IP camera on the network itself. This makes the PoE outlets obsolete on the NVR.
Any suggestions (LAN only option)?
