hikvision C version

Hello, can someone advise me as to what the difference is regarding the hikvision C version?
I am looking at the hikvision DS-2CD2646G2-IZS and have seen some websites quoting both.

My understanding is that 'C' versions have slightly different internal hardware as they were manufactured when there were significant chip shortages.

I have seen a price difference of almost 100 Euros but it doesn't really justify it. At first I thought it was the typical difference between the Chinese clones but I am still unsure.
