Hey all,
Hope you can help. My uncle asked my to set up 2 cameras for him so I mounted 2 Hikvision cameras. He does not have Blue Iris and just wanted to view clips here and there to see what is going on in his driveway and outside of his shop. I set him up with micro SD cards to capture the recordings and he views the recordings by accessing the camera's webserver and clicking on the Playback tab. I have it set up to record motion only. When he clicks on Playback and chooses a day to view, he sees the motion trigger marks on the timeline. If he puts the cursor at a motion trigger mark and hits play, he sees the timeline moving, but it just jumps past the trigger mark and doesn't play the video. If he allows it to continue to play, it will go from trigger mark to trigger mark, but just jump over them and not play the triggered video. So for now, I have continuous recording on. This works and if he sees a motion trigger mark, he just moves the cursor to the spot and he can play the video.
Do I have the settings wrong? I don't understand why he cannot view the triggered video if I have the settings set to motion only. We can deal with the continuous recording, but we'd like to conserve space on the SD card. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
