I just connected my 6 dome cameras and an NVR (via POE switch) with the following firmware:
* Cameras - DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS with:
* FW: V5.4.3 build 160902
* Encoding FW: V7.3 build 160829
* Web Version: V4.0.1 build 160405
* NVR: DS-7616NI-I2 with installed
* FW: V3.4.95 build 170626
* Encoding FW: V5.0 build 170412
* Web Version: V4.0.1 build 170124
I have a few questions:
1. Is there a preferred way to configure and control my setup? asking because there are 3 options:
a. Each camera/NVR webgui
b. NVR HDMI output with mouse/keyboard
c. VIA NVR webgui to control the cameras as well
which is preferred? more options the other don't have?
2. Where can i download an official HIK firmwares for my cameras and NVR? there is something to know before?
3. Audio "issue" - the Cameras are sound capable, and i want to hear 3 out of the 6 of the cameras, it supports sound out (has an audio pigtail), is that means the cameras have an internal microphone? or i need to purchase an additional microphone? if the answer is yes, it can be passive or active (12v) mic, the active can have its power if the camera is powered by POE?
