hikvision ddns nvr domain conflict?

my friend purchased a hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P to replace his hikvision 7104..

everything seems to be working ok except the ddns portion.

(he uses the free hikvision ddns service)

the problem that he's encountering is that he's trying to use the same domain name (from his 7104 nvr) in the new 7608 nvr (he has deleted all the info from the old nvr).

for example on the new nvr ddns.
enable ddns - checked
ddns type: HIDDNS
server address:www.hik-online.com
domain:bigbrownbear

gets the following message.
'domain conflicted'



on the hikvision ddns site, he has deleted the information from the old nvr from the device manangement..

when he puts in the new information from the new nvr, he gets the following message..

serial number: - serial number from new nvr
device name:bigbrownbear
http port: 0

gets the following message..
'the device name is incorrect'


i am not sure what is going on? is it that you can't use the same domain name from the old nvr in the new one?
