hi guys,

ive got a hikvision NVR and 4 x hivision cameras, 3 bullets and 1 dome.

ive noticed when playing back the dome one, i get occasional frame drop.

tried various settings but nothing seems to fix it.

the cameras are plugged direct into the NVR poe ports.

any ideas what might cause this? i dont recall it happening, when i had 4 x bullets, but i replaced one bullet with a dome, with wider lens.

its a DS-7608NI-E2 NVR (8 port)
firmware: v.3.4.96 - build 170921

cameras are: 3 x DS-2CD2032-I (bullets) and 1 x DS-2CD2342WD-I (dome)

any ideas?

Have you tried lowering the FPS to 10 for example and the the iFrames to match. Also dropping the bitrate down to 4096 on the cameras.

If you repeat the playback, does it drop in the same location?

Suggestion either way:
Export a segment of the video in question and play it directly on the PC and see how it is.

ive changed to CBR as above screen shot, and changed iframe to match fps

thanks all, i'll see how it goes

i read somewhere, that iframe should be double FPS - does that sound right?
