I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera on my front porch. Firmware is V5.1.6 build 140412. Under Configuration/Video/Audio there are three options for Resolution: 1280*720P ; 1920*1080P and 2048*1536. To maintain consistent frame rate of 15FPS I have to set the resolution to the lowest setting, 1280*720P. This works fine except that I get an image that is compressed vertically and/or expanded horizontally. The only way I can approach a properly proportioned image is to use the 2048*1536 setting which is too bandwidth intensive for my set up.
Interestingly, at least to me, is the fact that under the sub stream I can select a resolution of 640*480 which produces a properly proportioned image.
What is this all about? Is there no way to configure this camera to give a properly proportioned image?
Thanks.
John
