Hi, I have a Hikvison DS7608NI-I2 8P NVR along with two Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I cameras. I have recently noticed that on one of the cameras that there appears to be gaps in recording. In the attached picture please see the gap between the end of the first ticked file and the start of the second ticked file. This only seems to be happening on one camera.

I'm convinced its something to do with the NVR because it only happens once the recording file has reached 1GB and transfers over to a new file.

My NVR is currently on V3.3.7 build 151102 - I'm slightly concerned at upgrading due to people experiencing frequent restarts of their system, but if this is a known problem then I would consider upgrading.

Thanks for any advice.

How does it look in Playback timline, is it all solid blue or with gaps as well?

I had this issue with one of my non Hikvision cams. It was the only 5MP camera and it couldn't seem to handle running at full 12k bitrate and 30 fps causing it to reboot every hour or so hence having the same gaps. Reducing down to 10k bitrate resolved issue for me.

Thats interesting thanks, my bitrate at the moment is lower at 6144Kbps on the 4MP camera which I think is default.

Im unsure if its the NVR or camera because the live stream always seems to work fine and its only during the transfer to a new recording file that this issue occurs.

Well, you may have different issue, just thought to throw my issue since it sounded similar. I do have the same NVR as yours and running latest firmware
