Hikvision DS-2CD2132F-IS: New Version

Hikvision new DS-2CD2132F-IS replace DS-2CD2132-I 3MP Network Mini Dome Camera cctv camera 30M IR Digital HD waterproof w/POE. Anyone have a comment on the new version? Could it be wall mounted as with the older model? CCTV China has it for about $90.00.

The model with the F designation is the only one that can be wall mounted without using a mount...the old model was 2-axis...

Yes, Bentley, the DS-2CD2132F-IS is 3-axis so it is just fine to wall mount. The F in the model number indicates it has an SD card slot, and the S indicates "Audio I/O interface, Alarm I/O interface", though I don't think this model has a built in speaker or microphone. This just means you could wire up a speaker and microphone (which almost nobody does). It also is available with WiFi which is indicated by W in the model number, e.g. DS-2CD2132F-IWS

The wall mount is only necessary for the older 2-axis DS-2CD2132-I model, just to be clear. The newer DS-2CD2132F-I(WS) is 3-axis adjustable and so does not require special wall mounting hardware like that.

I've had mine DS-2CD2132F-IS for a while now, works really well.

I used this mounting bracket.

Using a mount like this gives you a good place to hide the plugs and cables. The black thing is a microphone that I have fitted.

Works ok Fenderman. Its a car microphone. It was about $ 4 USD. Just cut the 3.5mm plug off and your in business. No need for a amp or anything.

The latest model is the DS-2CD2142FWD-I(W)(S). From what I have read its due in August.

Maybe motorized means something else in Chinese
If they dont fix that before they start selling on ali, there will be a bunch of posts wondering why the pt is not working...we already get them on the domes when there is no mention of pt...
