Can someone tell me what ptz protocol this Hikvision camera might use.
I have some software that needs to use onvifptz. It plays fine with my Dahua but does not seem to work with the Hik.
I was hoping maybe a firmware update might help but I cannot even get that to work.
I am pretty new to the ip-cam scene. It can be really confusing..

ONVIF is supported but never actived by default in Hikvision camera's.
Log in the webpage of your camera and go to Configuration -> Network -> Advanced settings -> Integration Protocol
You can enable ONVIF and create an ONVIF user.

Thank you very much. I did get the ONVIFPTZ turned on and I am getting a better response from my tracker software .
The tracker software is rather obscure. It is called OTDAU and its purpose is to record UFO's. The program is very buggy in its ptz control. Like I mentioned it works great with my Dahua ptz camera but the Hik causes the ufo program problems.
The picture out of Hik's is impressive. Its night vision pointing toward the stars is better than my Dahua. It picks up the orbiting satellites really well. I am in contact with the author of the software so maybe we can get it worked out.
