Hikvision DS-7608NI-E28P fail to restore/reset cameras

Help please. After having spent DAYS getting my NVR configured and forwarded, it stopped working on iVMS-4500 with no apparent cause. I reconfigured router and the internal NIC settings and now the 8 cameras are not connected. I couldn't find a cause/fix so I did a factory reset on the NVR, reconfigured everything but still can't connect to cameras. I'm unable to reset or establish camera connections.
Can anyone help me?

Just a thought, have you tried resetting the NVR password back to factory standard?, that works for me when cameras disconnect. Once connected, go back to your chosen password.

Thanks, I tried to reset to 12345 default pwd but it would not allow (not secure enough?).

May be a newer firmware thing, have you tried 12345aaa?

If it complained that what you were trying to provide was not secure enough did you try creating a more complex password?
