Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR vs Synology Surveilance Station

Hi!

Which would be a better solution for a 6 camera setup? Buying a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR for $208 or buying a $200 4 IP camera license for a Synology Surveilance Station?

Not going to exceed that I only have 6 doors I want to keep an eye on. Synology Surveilance Station has 2 licenses already so additional 4 IP camera license would make a total of 6.

Buy a refurbed Pc for $150, then spend $60 for BlueIris. Much better choice.

I would use the supplied 2 license on the SSS and 'see' how you feel about it and then decide if the extra is worth it, Having played with both it can come down to how much you will need to access the data and if the functions are the ones you need.

Then when you are just about to hit the add to cart.... Go out and get the refurb and BI and enjoy...
