Hello guys,
I`m brand new to IP cameras/NVRs world and need some help.
So for now successfully installed a hikvision DS-7616NI-E2 NVR (2TB hard) and connected to it 5 IP cameras. Four of this cameras are ONVIF wifi model.
The problem is, that the ONVIFs are installed in a place where has a regular power shortage. I installed a UPS device, but after all from time to time, the cameras powers off.
My question is can I set some kind of alarm on the NVR to e-mail me when an attached camera disconnects from it? I see that there are some kind of alarms, but I`m not familiar with this alarm inputs, types and etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Not directly related with you question, but it seems that you are using individual adapters for each camera or are you referring to the whole system going down?

Yes, it's possible. Go to Remote configuration -> Event -> Video Loss on each camera.
Link actions are:
- Notify surveilance center
- Audio warning (local)
- Email linkage
- Warning on monitor (local)

Four of this cameras are ONVIF wifi model.
I believe that you need Hikvision cameras connected with Hikvision protocol to support video loss alarms in the 7616NI-E2 ("camera does not support this function").
But it will be interesting to test, and if it works to know what brand the cameras are.

Thanks for the info and the help - Video loss detection is working perfect.
The WiFi cameras are FOSCAM FI9804W. Many things like motion detection are not working with the HIKVISION NVR, but this feature is OK.
Thank you again for the help.
