For your interest: I installed one Seagate Skyhawk 10TB in a Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2 NVR which was running the original firmware (V3.4.2 something I think), it initialized fine. Then I upgraded the firmware to V3.4.90, Build 160926 from here:

http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product Firmware/Back-ends/Recorder/NVR/76 77 96 NI-I/V3.4.90 build160926/&file=NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V3.4.90_160926.zip

It has been continuously recording five ds-2cd2345-i cameras for close to a day with no errors so far. I'm using H.265+, variable bit rate highest quality, 10fps, highest resolution.

I just wanted to report that, as I could find nothing to say that the drive would work or not before I tried it.

all drives of any capacity should work; the next size barrier to reach is in the petabytes with 48bit LBA and all SATA systems are using it.. despite what your spec sheet the only limit to the size of the disk you can put in it is by what you can physically obtain.

Hi dear, is the DS-7616NI-I2 normal version or I2/16P (or /8P)?
