Hikvision DS-KV8113, how to record and playback video

I have installed Villa outdoor station DS-KV8113 and inserted SD card but can't seem to record or play video either through VMS4200 or Hiconnect.
I have DS-KH9510 indoor station.

Any help please ?

same problem here, did you mange to solve it ?
 
hikvision support report me that this is the intended design. To have the missing call recording feature an inside monitor must be installed.
 
ah, but threadstarter was is using it ...

Dont you have a synology or some other surveillance software? that way you can capture video events too, based on ring detection or motion
i'm storing all my ring events and to the onedrive cloud
