and looped a Ethernet cable from another sparePOE PORT to
The LAN input of the NVR now I cansee all the camera IP addresses
on my remote computer but I still cannot access them on my web browser

Using SADP presumably?
SADP will see the cameras even when they are on a different IP address range from the PC.
I'm guessing they will be something like 192.168.254.x
If so - set your PC IP address to, say, 192.168.254.100 and then the browser access should work OK.
And by the way - normally you'd just temporarily connect your PC directly to a spare PoE port and the NVR LAN interface would normally be on your router anyway.
On Virtual Host - did you look for the 'enable' checkbox in the NVR web GUI under Advanced Networking configuration?

Hi
cannot see the virtual host check box

cannot see the virtual host check box
It does seem a bit of a mystery which models and which firmware provides it - and where to find it.
This is on a 7816N-E2 with 3.3.4 firmware, probably different from many others.
