I have a DS7732NI-SI fitted with 1 x 2TB drive (the original) and 1 x 4TB drive, both are used for recording. I'd like to replace the 2TB with another 4TB drive but don't want to lose what's on the 2TB for at least a month.
Is there a way to do this?
My only thought is to move the 2TB to an external enclosure connected to the eSata port and set it to 'Read-Only'. Then install the new drive. Would this work or will the NVR fail to recognise the files on the disk that's been moved.
