Have a Hikvision camera, downloaded the latest SADP Tool 3.x. I can set it to ACTIVE by logging in with the password. But every night it seems to set back to INACTIVE, and I have to use the SADP tool to enter the password and have it go back to ACTIVE. Any idea what is going on? What is causing this?

Open up the camera GUI navigate to network and disable ports upnp
Look on the port page it should then say inactive.
Then test
No info on camera model or firmware or if it’s a ch serial number...
If it’s a China model be careful updating the firmware

As Mark implies - it's likely the camera is being hacked because it's exposed to the internet.
Check what ports are open with ShieldsUp! GRC | ShieldsUP! — Internet Vulnerability Profiling
Do a full port scan.
If the results are unexpected - check your router configuration and disable UPnP.
