Hello everyone. Apologies I’m not sure if this is the right place to post.

I’ve made a mistake and I’m hoping someone can help me fix it.

I have a coax colorvu HiLook camera and a HiLook DVR 208Q-K1. I’ve had the camera working fine but when messing with the settings (I know) I changed the resolution to 3K.

My DVR does not support this resolution and now the feed shows no video. Which means I cannot enter the menu to revert it.

Does anyone have any advice?

Don't know your camera, But I have a bunch of cameras that are TVI aka Hikvision and while they are mostly UTC some of them also have toggles on the wires and others have them inside the cover or domes.. So like my 10x zoom camera that I use as one of my main cameras is a larger Bullet camera. If I take the flap down on the bottom like you would a Ip camera to reset or put in a Micro SD card. This TVI camera has the ability to connect a CVBS wire, and I have switches that let me zoon and focus the camera as well. Also inside this camera is a Toggle switch, Pressing the toggle will let me change settings in the camera manually without having to use the DVR.. Using this if yours has it might be able to connect with the CVBS *If yours has the extra wire for it, Then you can use the manual toggle to make changes to the camera to setup back to your current good camera settings..

Only other way is to have a friend or family member that might have an 8mp or better DVR and connect to that DVR and change the cameras settings so you can use it back on your DVR..

So would need to look at your camera wires and see if it has CVBS built in, I have some cameras that do, Or if it has a connector on the camera to connect a wire with BNC connection that is normally used for Setting up the camera when you are on the ladder and don't have a Portable camera testing unit that works with TVi, CVI, or other formats that are offered. Some have CVBS connection ability.. Again if it does and has a toggle inside..

I have taken my camera down for maintenance. Seeing I change out my Gel Packs every year or every other year depending on where they are installed.. Anyway I took some pictures of one of my cameras that you can see has a toggle inside. This camera like the other one but they have 2 wires on the main wiring for the camera one is TVI and other is CVBS, Then this one rather then having zoom and focus. plus a toggle this one has it all on the toggle. If you press and hold it in then it goes into menu if you press up and or down it will zoom right or left it will focus.. Some idea just better built.. Anyway most of my DVRs today are all 8mp. I do have a few older ones I still use at some of my locations but at my main location I only use 8mp recorders today..

Strange, Looking at the camera manual, Says it works 2mp in NTSC or Pal don't say anything about 2k format? Maybe the manual I am looking at is for a older model. Didn't see anything about a reset button. But there are stranger things. Maybe your format changed from TVI to something your dVR don't support? Does say that it has a Toggle on wire to change format. maybe you just need to change the format back to TVI. Anyway says press and hold button for 5 seconds to change from TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS options..
