hi there folks , i have bin searching the internet forever and was hoping someone here could perhaps provide me with a solution.
first off all , let me start by saying i did this to myself ... i had a working product and desided to do a firmware upgrade (witch is ussualy not a bad thing ...) but i broke my device in the process ...
so these are my products , for inside my home i bougt a DS-KH6310-A (Notice the A , it will be important at some point ...) , for outside my house , wen people want to visit me ,i placed the DS-KB8112-IM
the DS-KB8112-IM was the first product that i bought , after installing i noticed there was no option to connect a relay that will trigger a inside bell , and since the hik-connect app was not officially supported for that product i sometime's missed call's on my phone , so i started searching for a sollution and bought the indoor screen ... after installation it worked without a problem but i had 3 problems :
a : with a firmware upgrade the first page was completly different organised , a bunch of stuf for alarm was no longer precent and quickly viewing my cam's was easyer (so i wanted to upgrade for that)
b: hik-connect would not work at the moment , i had version 1.4.0 on the device , the newest firmware was 1.4.7.1 , i believe hik-connect support is also included in the firmware since i seen my setup working on youtube with the explenation of the hik-connect app
c: better SIP support was included in the newest firmware, that was something i also wanted to take use off so we could emergency call in case of something important , or in case we are not home we could talk with the friends on the door.
anyway, here is the thing , nowhere on the net there is information about the product DS-KH6310-A , i have no clue what that A means but on the hikvision website's i only find info about the W / WL / WT versions ...
i did a firmware upgrade and after that i get some wierd language on the device (if i can call it a language)
to make the situation worse , i can't return to the original version , every version give's me the same result now ... it is even not possible to just install the upgrade now , i have to use hiktools.exe to change the language from EN/ML (1) to CH (2) ... i tried firmware's from the UK , australian , europe site's and installed over 20 different versions ... old one's , new one's , nothing helps.
if i google my device and search for picture's i see my device type with the explenation "DO NOT FIRMWARE UPGRADE" ,what the hell ?? why should i be denied a firmware upgrade with new functions if i bought it a week ago ?? , i contacted my reseller and told him he is selling me something strange since there stands on his website its a type W , and i get a type A , but his stupid response was that they changed the letter but it is the same product , if that was the case , why do i brik my device with a fw upgrade then ...
i'm out of options right now ... can't return my brand new device and alle the FW's that i try fail ... hopefully someone smart in here that wants to help me out ...
