Hikvision iVMS-4200 "device already exists"

I have a Hikvision NVR device set up at my office. When I am in the office, I connect to the iVMS-4200 software using a private 192.168.x.x address. When I am away from the office, I also want to connect to the iVMS-4200 software utilizing my external IP address. When I attempt to add either the external or the internal device, Whichever doesn't exist, again air message saying the device already exists. Most likely because of the device ID and serial number that the software sees.

Does anyone know of a way to add both the internal and the external IP address of the same device so I can view the software while at work and away?

You can't have two devices with the same serial number.

If you want to access the device from both network and internet, the best way is to have a router that supports NAT loopback. That way, from inside the network you will be able to access the device from the WAN IP (fixed IP, HiDDNS, or whatever you use).
