Hello,
I have a HIKVISION DS-2CD2685FWD-IZS camera, I can't set up motion detect, I get lots of false alarms. I tried changing the various settings but the result does not change..
how can I solve it?
For now I am sending emails but I would like to connect the camera to the home alarm.

thank you
Luca

Hello,
Thanks for the reply :)
I did as you said, and the difference is clear, I have only one problem ... when the automatic irrigation of the lawn is turned on, it is detected as an intrusion ...
I also have another problem .. cats also detect them as an intrusion ..
Thanks and sorry for my bad English!
Luca

Motion detection is triggered by changes in color to the pixels so any one of the dots in the picture changing colors will set it off. Using intrusion or line crossing will reduce false alarms. If using intrusion still gives false alarms then raise the threshold or lower the sensitivity. Raising the threshold so more of the box you are using is filled up so anything larger than a cat will be triggered. Lower the sensitivity so the object will need to be in the box for a longer period of time before it is triggered. It will not be perfect but it will help reduce false alarms.
