Hikvision Motion Detection

Dear all,

I want to aktivate motion detection on my hikvision camera. I want to use the motion detection signal by an external device using HTTP requests.

The problem is, that <activePostCount>0</activePostCount> is not being changed, when I listen to

http://username:password@192.168.1.xxx/ISAPI/Event/notification/alertStream

.

Also, in the configuration menu, the red grid does not show any highligtings, even when "Dynamic motion detection" is activated.

Could anybody please tell me if there might mit a issue with the configuration settings?

To see motion detection information in Live View, enable 'Rules' in the System configuration.

Dear alastairstevenson,

thank you very much, enabling rules worked for live view. I see now green boxes when there is motion detected.

Unfortunately, <activePostCount>0</activePostCount> is not incremented on the alertStream.

Does anybody have an idea what there is to do to see an alert?
