Hikvision NVR 4.0

Hi All,
I recently replaced an old Hikvision hybrid type recorder for a 16 channel Hikvision NVR as the old machine only allowed 4 IP cameras in total and the customer wanted to add more cameras to their system.
All went ok adding some new Hikvision cameras but when I tried to add some Zxtech 3rd party onvif cameras the fun started. Eventually I got them added but they are not displayed on the NVR main monitor. I view them on the Hik connect remote viewing app or using the browser on my PC so I can only presume that it is something to do with a setting in the main stream config ?????. The Zxtech cameras were working on their old Hik machine.
Anyone any ideas.

I think you may have enable the substream on the onvif non viewing cameras?

This is worth checking out. I was on site and under pressure at other things at the time. I will be back on site in the next day or so.
Do you mean the actual camera settings or the NVR setting.

I thought that the substream was required for remote viewing and split screen. Maybe this only applies to the nvr???.
