Hello, so these are my setup
I've only started to use hikvision now to familiarize with it, so please bear with me

DS-7108-SN
V3.0.13 build 150503

4MP DS-2CD3145F-I
V5.4.20 build 160726

The IP cameras are recognized and detected by the NVR using the hikvision protocol, however there's no sub channel (only main channel available)
And the resolution is only limited 704x576 and lower (no 720p/1080p)

According to this post, a reset should help out reenable sub channel. However I've done both reset & default on the maintenance page of the camera but the issue still persist

I'd like to know if there's another way to resolve this.
Is it NVR firmware related or should I just get a different NVR model that's more compatible with the 4MP camera I'm using now?

DS-7108-SN only supports up to 2MP. Try lowering your main stream directly on the camera from 2MP to 4MP, and you should probably be able to use it at 1920x1080.

Thanks, I did lower the resolution to 1080p in the main camera settings, but it's still on low resolution on the nvr.
Seems like I also need to change the frame rates & the channel type based on this thread.

Must've missed this one when I was googling for my solution.

Will provide feedback once I get home.
