Hikvision NVR NAS Configuration

Hi All,

got a question on the NAS configuration on a Hikvision ds-7608ni-i2 NVR. I’m setting it up to connect to a Synology DS-213 and the NVR can see the NAS and fileshare but doesn’t actually record anything to it. Is it supposed to record to it simultaneously when the camera is triggered?The NetHdd config also defaults to RW and even though I try change it to Redundancy, it reverts back to RW. Like I said, it doesn’t record anything so how is it supposed to work?

Ideally I’d like the NVR to backup to the nas but can’t get it working. I’ve googled and trawled through this and other forums without luck. I know people have done it but how?

also, my cameras are connected straight into the NVR Poe ports.

First, set your hard drives to grouping, not quota, then set your NAS drive to redundancy, then you have to select which cameras you want to redundantly record. You can do that by going to the schedule settings, hit the advanced tab, then check “redundant record” again, do that for each camera you want to record redundantly
