Hikvision NVR

Hi, I had bought the Hikvision NVR model DS-7108N-SN/P and need some assistance about connecting the Apexis dome PTZ IP Camera model APM-J901 IP. The problem is that when trying to modify the configurations i.e. ip adress etc..... it is also required to select the protocol from the list of names shown.Unfortunately the name Apexis is not listed. Can you please tell what name I have to select or if there is another procedure?

That Apexis camera is old, and I am almost sure it does not support ONVIF. So I would say that your NVR can not work with that camera.

since I don't know about ip cameras can you please simplify what do you mean by Onvif. When looking on Apexis website they are Onvif certified.

APM-J901 is an old model, it does not support ONVIF.
