Soon to have a complete wired system , will add 4-6 HIK cameras to it. So in the end it will be 16 cameras. Some question thnks

1)Do Hivision NVR have a good IOS and Driod app.
2) Do they practice common sense security practices with respect to firmware updates?
3) If they have a good app, is their performance unaffected by firmware updates and visa versa.
4) How well do they work with 3rd party VGA camera

1) iVMS is a great app, one of the main reasons for getting Hikvision
2) They don't apply common sense in firmware updates - full-stop
3) See (2)
4) Not very well in my experience but YMMV

What happens if I have 6 POE camers coming to NVR but only on 2 Ethernet cables, cause I used 2 small POE switches to combine 3 cameras into one lan cable., say this happened from prior design? so NVR doesn't need to have power for cameras

what is the question?

I hope the OP doesn't mind, but I think what he is asking is the same sort of question that I have... if there is already a POE switch or POE injector with X number of connected cameras on the network, would an NVR see those cameras? Or a simpler form of the question... would the NVR see cameras that are not connected to the build in POE connections?

Yes, it will, you simply need to input the ip addresses of those cams...make sure to set those cameras to a static ip/dhcp reservation so that the ip address never changes.

You'll have to turn off the Plug and Play feature first in order to add the camera (if your NVR happens to have the same amount of POE ports as channels, such as 8 ch and 8 POE and you have 4 cameras on external POE, you'll have to change from Plug and Play to Manual for 4 of the built-in POE ports, this can be done at the Configuration->Camera part at the machine or at the web gui under Camera Management->Modify)
