Hikvision - third stream?

Hi, I tried searching for this information but it's still unclear...
I have Hikvision DS-2CD2135FWD-IS and a DS-2CD2135FWD-IS connected to my Hik NVR (DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P)
I read on the Hikvision web site that it should have a third stream.

Frame Rate: 50Hz: 20 fps (3840 × 2160), 25 fps (3072 × 1728, 2560 × 1440, 1920 × 1080, 1280 × 720)
60Hz: 20 fps (3840 × 2160), 30fps (3072 × 1728, 2560 × 1440, 1920 × 1080, 1280 × 720)

Sub Stream: 50Hz: 25fps (640 × 480, 640 × 360, 320 × 240)
60Hz: 30fps (640 × 480, 640 × 360, 320 × 240)

Third Stream: 50Hz: 25fps (1280 × 720, 640 × 360, 352 × 288)
60Hz: 30fps (1280 × 720, 640 × 360, 352 × 240)

Any idea exactly how to use those third stream? I only seem to have access to main and sub stream.

Would be nice to be able to live view via the third stream (720p) instead of having to choose between very low sub stream of high main stream...

Update:
OK, I enabled virtual host on the NVR and was able to access the cams directly, bypassing the NVR.
I found the third stream option, I enabled it, and it worked great, from the camera directly, I can access and configure all three streams.

Now the final question; how do I make the third stream accessible from the NVR, it still only sees main and sub...

Oh. Well the good news is that at least I know and will stop trying lol.

So there are NVRs that support it, the third stream?

I am quite sure there are, but that is one of those features that you will hardly be able to tell if a unit has until you test it, I do not think it comes on the spec sheets.

Hello, I have a hikvision 2cd2385 8mp, this also supports the third stream. But I have only Main Stream and Sub Stream to choose from. How can I activate the third party? I use it with synology 718+ and the app Hik-Connect.

So, its year 2022. and I can't choose third-stream in Hik-connect app? Am I missing something here, main stream in 4K is a bit much for some devices and uses a lot of bandwidth.
