I have a couple of Hikvision turret cameras that I can't remember the password. When have them hooked with SADP I click lost password then export XML but it never gets the key. It also says I can request a reset by sending a picture of the QR code. Has anyone used the QR code to reset the password?

Most is not all of the newer cameras will have a reset button on it. Use the 30-30-30 method.

30 seconds holding the button down....Unplug power while holding button down for 30 seconds.... Plug power back in while pushing button. Then release the button and it will reset itself to factory default. So full 90 seconds you are holding that button down.

You can reset the camera with SADP. Use SADP to export the XML file and send it to Hikvision. They will take your file and convert it and then send it back to you. You then import the file back in and enter your new password. DO NOT power down the camera after you exported the file or the file will be invalid which means you would need to export a new file to send in..

What does SADP show for the firmware version?
If it's 5.4.0 or older, the password can be retrieved using the Hikvision 'backdoor vulnerability'.

Do you get a file from the browser if you use the URL below, replacing <camera_IP_address> with the actual IP address of the camera?
If so - zip up the file and attach here.
