Hikvision Wifi Doorbell DS-HD1 issues

So I followed the instructions and wired it all up.
First off, there was confusion in the instruction regarding the little box that I had to install at the chime.
One picture showed black wire to trans white wire to switch, and another picture showed the opposite. Does it matter which one goes where? Or is the wiring for this box reversible?

Second, now that it's all hooked up. The mechanical chime isn't working. So in the app I have options for mechanical or electrical chime. If I choose mechanical, nothing happens. If I choose electrical (with 5 seconds delay), I get a DING, then 5 seconds later I get a DONG. Any shorter interval will not ring the chime. So for now, I've padded the chime with some foam, so I don't get the DONG 5 seconds later. Not ideal, but will have to do for now, unless any experts out there can tell me what's wrong.

Thirdly, if I set the app to give me notifications on motion, the thing does a loud BEEP sound every time there is motion triggered. Is there a way to turn that off? I've disabled it for now because I can't have it beeping off through out the night.

Forth, I've set up the NVR to record on motion on the doorbell, but seems it's not triggering. I've copied all the same settings for my regular POE cameras. Do I have to do something different to make it record on motion? Perhaps I'm doing something wrong relating to the motion detect?

TIA

I've contacted Hikvision, and they provided some answers.
Hopefully this can help others.

Regardless of what the instructions, for me, mechanical doorbell (hammer hitting two ring plates), needed the fused. They also said the little box can be connected either way. I had no room behind the doorbell for the fuse, but was able to just connect it on the chime end.

The beep sound, I still haven't figured out how to turn it off, but now that I've the NVR recording the events, I've just turned off the hikconnect app notification, so it doesn't beep anymore (but it still triggers events to record in the sd card and NVR, so that does what I needed it to do).

For the NVR, in the scheduling, I needed to switch it from "motion" to "event" type. As explained by Hikvision, NVR will only record the doorbell on its events, and the events must also be triggered by both motion and the PIR.
