I will recieve one in the next 2 weeks, can't say anything about it. Have a look at the checksum to see if it is still have the unknown checksum algorithm. Or upload and link the mtd to us to have a look

how about 5.3.0_150327, the factory release this version on 04/2015, anyone know how to hack this

I think it's the same, just with chinese model number, but I'm not sure

i got one in 5.3.0_150327, can't use tftpserv to downgrade to 5.25, no telnet function , and the default ip changed to 192.168.1.64

Optimize and upgrade firmware to enhance security features:

1. IPC

a) In March 2015, the company plans to release IPC version 5.3.0. The
update will include the following security enhancements:

>> If the default password is not changed, a change the password prompt will
show up when a customers attempted to log-in.

>> Telnet access is no longer available. A SecureCRT SSH client is provided
which can be enabled to provide a secure telnet interface.

>> IPC will lock the current login IP address after 5 incorrect login attempts.

>> When the user resets the password, a password strength prompt
(high, middle, low) will show in the web browser.

>> In SSH login status, parameters of IPC can only be checked, but not changed.
To change the parameters in SSH interface, a dynamic password is required and
must be requested from the Hikvision R&D team

can someone link some 5.1.6 firmware please?
have a Chinese DS-2CD2332-I which came with 5.2.8
tried to update to 5.3 which bricked it, wish i had know before
downgraded it to 5.2.5 now it works but cannot use it with ivms-pcnvr software

reading this i MIGHT be able to use 5.1.6?
