Got a PTZ-camera Hikvision Hiwatch DS-P2420 PTZ-camera from a client. Had some symptoms ealier, camera went unresponsive and only way to get it running again was using SADP and activate it again and putting all the settings in.

It worked well for months, but then after reboot camera went unresponsive again. Now activation with SADP does not work anymore. After setting password and clicking activate, SADP says "device rejected". Still, clicking refresh in the list, camera seems to be activated anyway.
Changing IP static wont work, but changing to DHCP works, although camera says "time out", but still after that shows new got via DHCP on the list.

Trying to go web ui with that IP won't work, just can't load the web page. Ping works.

IVMS, Batch configurator, all of them have been tested, but none of them can connect with the camera. Once I plug it off from PoE, camera seems to forget its settings and return inactive once I plug it back again.

Different PoE injector / switch tested, also direct 12V. No help.

Inside the camera red led is blinking 1 times per 2 second. Reset button does not help.

Any ideas? Does this have memory battery?

There is TFTP option, but in 99% of case you need to force it using update command via serial connection.

You need Serial connection and putty or SecureCRT plus TFTP server with right firmware

Indeed, seems that it keeps just downloading the firmware over and over again...

Update: interesting, RSTP works! I can get clear video with VLC from port 554

Also with port scanner I can see that ports 554, 8000, 9010 and 9020 are open.

And a bit forward again: Batch configurator activates the camera without error message and updates FW successfully. With batch configurators settings icon I can go to camera settings and see them. I can view live video, even turn the ptz.
Uploading backup config gives "operation failed".

Yes, IVMS works almost perfectly. I can see the picture and control PTZ, just can't modify the settings, for example changing IP address results to network/timeout error. Though I managed to upgrade (pushing the same file) the camera succesfully with IVMS too.

So it seems that main symptoms are that camera is not accessible via http port 80 and always after reboot it is returning to factory settings, inactive.

Could be alot of things sadly.

Damaged ROM, Memory leaks, bad capacitors, bad chip. Or simply firmware bug. Do you have any newer for that camera?
