No, it needs to be 192.168.1.x. It's kind of confusing but the 172.x ip address is the virtual network used by HA.
Nevermind, got it working! When trying to setup the HA BI integration, I put the new 192.168.1.99 address that I just setup for the HA virtual machine and it worked! Thank you so much for your help!!

You’re welcome, I’m glad you got it working.

Raising this one from the dead... I am getting the same message and nothing I've been able to do has allowed me to REconnect HA to BI. I used to have it working, and can still get to everything apart from the NVR integration. Eg.. UI3 working fine, HA can still get to regular stuff on my network etc... Any good way to totally clear out the integration? I've deleted/removed and redownloaded, but suspect it's holding onto something.

I recreated my virtual switchin Hyper-v and it allowed HA to ping BI. Thanks.
