Honeywell HEN04123 NvR factory reset

Hello all I am in need of a factory reset on a 4 channel Honeywell nvr
It has a reset button on the board but it does nothing no mater how long I hold it. I just bought a home and it has axis communication cameras with a hen04123 nvr. No one has the password according to the previous owner but the default does not work. If this is not an easy fix and I need to pitch it out the window and buy a new one then I will but if anyone knows how to make the button work or another way to get into it I would appreciate it. Thank you

I can't say this will work but something to try.. Press and hold the reset button, counting to 15 then remove power while still holding the reset button, Keep holding the button and after 15 seconds plug or return power to the NVR again holding the reset switch until you hear a Beep. It is best to have it connected to monitor and this way you can confirm that it was a reset beep and not just the normal start up beep.. If 15 seconds don't work try again using 10 seconds.. Also can I see a picture of your NVRs reset switch? As clear of a picture as you can please..

I’ve tried 5/10/15/30 seconds multiple times and still just the start up beep.

Well I asked to see the button because I will admit that I do have a recorder that has a button but wasn't setup to function seeing my C39 is missing. yours is there and that is why I asked to see your button. So without C39 that one don't work..

So then it is hard to say what method they used to reset yours.. without it being on.. Press and hold the reset button and wait for 10 seconds then turn on/ add power however yours gets to start up. Still holding button until the beep. If that didn't work then try this and use a stop watch.. Press button hold 10 second while powered on keep holding remove power and let 10 seconds pass and restore power holding 10 seconds and let go.. Has to be 10 seconds if it is 8 or 9 and or 11 or 12 start over..

Nothing worked looks like I’m calling to see if they will actually help.

Sorry to hear that. Hope they help you reset it. Nothing worse to have a reset button that don't work.
