How do I setup motion detection on my PTZ5A4M-25X

The flashing appears to be that you have zoom priority IR on. So as it zooms in and out, the IR intensity will change.

Confirm that BI hasn't enabled MD/SMD and also do the hack I mentioned previously in case this model/GUI is affected.

Try intrusion box instead of tripwire - maybe the crossing of the tripwire line as drawn is causing problems.

Did you leave min size to 0,0?

I have all sections turned off in this events page-
is there a way to lower sensitivity in the IVS setting?

also just checked - no md is enabled
 
shutter priority was checked - thats on , Ill turn it off - ?

just turned it to Auto -

dont know how that was enabled. - if I dont know what something is - I usuassly keep it to auto

IVS settings not have the sensitivity.
 
just got home from work
the ptz has been tracking events all day long at ghosts, now this time in the completely opposite direction
there's got to be a reason for this.
maybe have to do a factory reset on this thing.
have it deleted in B.I.
then do a find reinspect on it.

Sometimes a factory reset is needed.

I forget did you say you have an SD card in it that you can playback with IVS rules on to see what and how this is triggering?

I have a 256 card and it has a nice way to review all the events on the card. I could not find the cause of the stray movements..
this afternoon it was doing it again as mentioned above. No bug issues during the day.
 
That is why doing playback from the SD Card with IVS rules on is critical - it will draw a box on what it thinks is an object and the box will turn red when it meets the criteria and crosses an IVS rule.

Are you saying you are watching it back from the camera GUI and IVS rules on and a yellow box that turns red never happens and the camera just starts dancing around?

OK, so I'll have to look again. rules are not showing up on the recorded event on the sd card
 
You have to turn on the IVS rules - it is one of the boxes at the bottom left of the screen.
 
I do not see that box.

rules are showing on the live view, if the cam returns to the preset.
 
The playback should start with the preset and the IVS rules shown then once it turn red on the object, the IVS lines disappear like in this video from this thread:

 
I scoured all the pages in web view. I do not have that setting box anywhere.
all my recorded searches play back fine, except they do not show the ivs rules during playback.
 
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer (yeah we know LOL), but that browser still provides the best performance and still shows options that the other browsers don't.

Mine is the box below and is called AI Rule (I am still used to the old web GUI that called it IVS rules):

Is there a setting to view the rules on the screen during playback?
I cannot find it where.
