How does activaion work. Do you need to be online?

I am wondering how activation works for the latest Blue Iris version and if there are any periodic activation checks. Reason is my ip cameras and server do not have internet access. Do you get a key after purchase and can just enter it or do you need to have internet access?

You do need internet access to activate, but you should be able to run it without internet access afterward.
