How Many Times Can You Check Your Oil

I counted 11 times. Now I know you have to check at least twice, but this seems a bit excessive or maybe he just likes playing with his dip stick. Video runs at 4X speed.

Been there, done that. Not 11 times, but 4-5 sometimes. Some dipsticks seem to be oil phobic - oil doesn't wet it very well. Also if the tube has some bends, it can screw up the reading as the tube wipes the dipstick. If the oil is clean, more problems. We own a few Chryslers and they all are a bit of pain to check the oil if you've just stopped. Overnight it's much easier.

And why are we all here? To catch bad guys in the act. Is no one else suspicious of this activity? My guess is that he's watching for someone/something. Notice how he checks out certain cars as they go by? This is not normal human behavior for someone in an emergency oil check situation. Something's not right here.

@Pardigital is right. This is a typical 'look busy' routine that will make passers-by and neighbors be blind to his presence. The less-nefarious side of me says he's a PI or other investigator waiting on someone. The paranoid side of me says he's casing someone's house, waiting for them to leave....
