Hi all. I have been trying to connect to my Dahua IPC-HDBW4631R-ZS
I have no NVR and am just recording on an SD card (the camera will not be connected to the internet). I would like to configure the camera for motion detection recording etc. so I connected a LAN cable and entered the ip address http://192.168.1.108/ but it doesn't connect.

After some searching on Google I found this video on Youtube that says I need to change the IPv4 settings on my laptop.

I changed my IP4 settings in my internet configurations to:
IP address: 192.168.1.108
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.192.1.1

When I save the settings I receive the following message

Warning - The default gateway is not on the same network segment (subnet) that is defined by the IP address and subnet mask. Do you want to save this configuration?

I know the camera is working because I downloaded ConfigTool 4.x and it shows the camera with the IP address so I know it is the correct address

Being a network noob I have no idea what to do or how to connect to the camera :-)
All help is appreciated (attached a screenshot of the settings)

That did the trick, that it could be that simple :-)

How do I mark this question as solved and select your answer as best answer?

I don't think this forum software here supports that. I saw you 'Liked' his post already, ... that's usually what folks do here for helpful posts. Glad you're up and running.
