I was running late for a midterm one day and had just missed the bus to campus by about 10 seconds. I ran on the icy sidewalk to try to catch the bus at the next stop a couple hundred feet away (bus was waiting to turn). As I started to cross the street the bus took the turn too fast and took out the traffic light pole which landed on the bus. Someone I knew drove by about 30 seconds later and gave me a ride to campus.
