Just received my HIKVision NVR yesterday, and trying to set it up. The time on the cameras are off, and I can't figure out how to access the cameras to set the time. Prior to getting this NVR, I used my web browser to access the cameras directly, but can't do that now.

Again, this is all new to me.

thanks.

Thanks for the fast response. I have 3 cams connected, one to be connected later today.
One is a Hikvision English version DS-2CD2055FWD-I 5MP,

and one is a Hikvision DS-2DE3304W-DE IP Network Camera 3MP 4x Zoom 2.8~12mm Support POE IP67 PTZ Dome Camera English Version

I also have 2 Trendnet cams.

Right now, the bullet cam (HIKV) time is ahead by 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Trendnet is off by 1 hour ahead. The NVR has the correct time and correct Daylight savings time.....

One other problem, my NVR can **see ** my other Trendnet cam, but can't ** talk ** to it....

On a Hikvision NVR, you can access the cameras that are on the PoE ports by using the 'Virtual Host' facility - the links shown at the far right column of Camera Management in the NVR web GUI.

Ok, I will check that out. Guess I need to find out what a Virtual Host is, also..........

Thanks for your help for this newbie....

I have 2 HIKVision cams and 2 Trendnet cams. When I fist installed my NVR yesterday, it found one of my Trendnet cams and initialized it for use. However my second Trendnet cam shows up, but can't be "initialized". Any ideas?? Pics attached to show what I am talking about.

Edit: Got all cameras working now. Disconnected the misbehaving camera from the NVR and connected it directly into my network. Used the web interface to change some settings (I have no idea what settings I changed). Plugged the camera back into the NVR and it picked it up right away.
Now all 4 of my cameras are working.........

The 'Connect' column is where the 'Virtual Host' links will appear - after you have enabled it with the tickbox under
Configuration | Network | Advanced Settings | Other tab.

Yes, I did a Google search and found about enabling the "Virtual Host", but that still did not work for me. I unplugged the misbehaving camera from the NVR and plugged it into my network and made some changes to the camera. Plugged it back into the NVR, now it works.

Thanks for your help. I am slowly getting there. Takes me a little longer, since I am 70 years old.... lol

Presumably just on what was the non-working camera.
If you click the links that presumably now show, you can access the cameras directly to make those other camera adjustments that the NVR doesn't provide you with.
