How to enable motion icon in timeline?

How to enable this

the blue motion icon to show in the time line? in blue iris?

I just can find the option where is at to enable it.

My recording option is set at "video: continuous" in record settings.

its there automatically if you enable motion detection....you must have "create alert list images when triggered" checked in the record tab.

some of these settings are profile dependent, are you using more that one profile? also you are looking at sundays timeline, so if you made any changes after it would not be reflected.

Using only Profile 1, and the timeline is at Tuesday with the clock green icon checked. (is current live on time for viewing)
I never used any other profile in BI, just the Profile 1., but all profile up to 7 have the same settings as profile 1.
Looks that the motion appears in the right side up/down notification
but not on the time line at the bottom, like in the first post.
And other think a motion say 5sec or 10 sec, 7 sec,etc...and when i click to play i get this,hmm

Also the motion round blue blinks at top to the right here also

There might be something wrong with the storage setup..post clips and archiving settings for new, alerts and stored folders.
Also click on the 3 vertical lines icon on the top left and post an image of the clips storage tab.

For quite a while i have played with settings, and done some more research but nothing works for those motion blue to appear in the time line and also those 10,20 sec motions do not play.

you have multiple errors in your setup...for starters you have the new and stored folders pointed to the same exact folder...then you have over allocated storage space because you allocated 1800gb for each of your 3 folders and you have less than 5400gb of space...
Dont use the stored folder set the NEW folder to 1700gb then move folder to DELETE
set the alert folder to 1gb only (nothing is ever stored there unless you store high res alert images which is silly and not needed. After making these changes close blue iris, delete the database folder then restart blue iris.

Ok,
I was confuse a little what to edit and change...
So i figure was this:

2. set the NEW folder to 1700gb then move folder to DELETE
3.set the alert folder to 1gb only

Now, i set those settings this morning, and now after 10 hours i get something working and also i can play the 10 sec alerts...

You still have an over allocation...delete your old stored folder and set stored folder to 0gb...then restart blue iris

I am battling high CPU use ... 13 cameras, max rate from 10 to 15.
and it stays from 50 to 70 usage cpu ,

but when windows updates kicks in and also there are some other apps like , kaspersky while scanning or updating,etc..it goes up to 100%, So i was
thinking about restoring win 10 , and only put BI , Alprd, and sunset utilities.
Now wanted to know if this

will export all the settings within BI, so when i re-install BI to re-imort them back.

alpr is using alot...you dont say what processor you have or your camera resolutions...
you need to exclude blue iris program and storage folders from scans
also note

Yes, i have the lpr z12e running, 1 cam and using quite a bit of cpu! Not sure what it needs...maybe better pc tower...
I have :
Dell optiplex 9020 quad core hanswell

w/ssd main hard and some extra sata drives for backup.

All my camera resolutions are set to 1920 x 1080 p and all are 10 to 15 frames set., Vbr. I have a mixture of cams, but Little by little changing to Dahua.
Have 3 Dahua and 3 Longse, and other that are not really performance cameras, but will be changed to a better brand witch is dahua...

Yes, kaspersky scans everything... and it used to be a simple program to work with ,but now they added other stuff and their menu is little more complicated that old versions, i think i added BI and alprd to exclude from scanning but i may have to recheck
that, also i see backup2.reg and backup3.reg can i delete those 2 and 3 and leave only the "backup.reg" ?

that simply backs up your settings nothing else. not need to delete those small files

50 would be normal for your load...test with only BI running no open alpr. also you can limit live preview frames to 10fps, this will not affect recording

Yes BI is around 50-56 now, and then alprd is on and goes up a little but is better than before.

All my cameras are set to 10 frames.
Here is all my cam's video settings:

As for testing with Alpr off, i did a computer task to started back up if computer reboots and i am not home so now ,not sure where is the task to disable it for a little, as everytime you end task in "task menagger" it restarts back up...
I have done tasks for Bi, Lpr , Sunset utility and also the computer is to bypass password to restart all the way, just in case if am not home so Bi and all to run.
