How to hook up audio to headset mic - Hikvision ?

I have an older gray market Hikvision that it appears cant be upgraded.
I wanted to test the concept of hooking a mic from headset up to it to record videos.
Really I'm just messing about and wanted to see if I could do it. I have looked at several web sites but am generally confused. Not sure how to go about it.

My camera has a green plug that says, In/G/Out/G with 4 pins on it. Can I connect a mic from an ordinary head set to this. Of course I would have to Configure Hikvision/Blue Iris to use the sound.

My model is DS-2CD3145F-IS 2.8mm
At the time I bought it I did not know there was a gray market and just bought it on Amazon. After a while I read up on it and saw that it was a Chinese model converted to English and upgrades were not possible. It was being broken into by hackers, so I removed it and put in Real one. But I might use it for other uses. Anyway I have it to play with.
