The Z12E goes to 60mm and these much larger cameras stop at 50mm. For some of us that extra 10mm is the difference between getting plates or not.

I don't think many of us would care if the z12e was a bit larger if it had the better sensor...
Yup.

HFW5241E-Z12E is 10.76" x 3.74" x 3.74" and weighs 2.44#
HFW5442E-Z4E is 10.76" x 3.74" x 3.74" and weighs 2.44#

So those cams are the same size.

ITC431-RW1F-L is 18.36" x 5.35" x 5.28" and weighs 8.59#
ITC431-RW1F-IRL8 is 18.36" x 5.35" x 5.28" and weighs 8.59#

So those cams are the same size and considerably larger than the 5241 Z12E and the 5442 Z4E.

I've ordered two IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 cameras to replace the two IPC-T5442T-ZE ones I still have in use; they'll be delivered and installed on August 7, 2024. Shortly all sixteen of my cameras will be operating on Web Version 5 software. It didn't take me too long to adapt to the Web Version 5 software and I do find it much improved over the prior version. :thumb:

I think I've said i really, really, and more really love the animal detection feature. :):cool:
Im new to both versions lol, old and new.
I have a couple used t5442-ze and it throws me off when I go into their menu. The menu and sub menus are different. Some names are changed or some options are on different pages.
So while mine are just sitting here on a test setup while I slowly get more cameras but I've been learning the menu and I like 5 (the blue one) better. I'll end up changing them all to the version 5 like you did eventually. For now I think I'll just put the older ones in the back yard or alley or maybe somewhere that a newer 54ir or 58ir will cross cover it unless Andy updates the refurbished page before I get a chance to install them hahaha.
