Based on the amazing feedback I got from my first thread on this forum (can't thank those guys enough), I was able to get going and start building my security system.
Then I asked myself a question:
How will I know if someone came wondering around my house at any point?
I can't browse through 24 hours footage every day so I though motion detection would be the answer until i realize it gets triggered by bugs flying in front of the camera.
Maybe I'm missing something but my my goal is simple:
Every day look for some sort of "bookmarks" which leads me straight to the point in my records where people walked in front of my cameras.
My DVR is a NVR5216-4KS2 and my cameras so far are IPC-HDW5231R-Z.
