Hello,

I am trying to record a Hikvision camera video/motion record on from external IP Address to a Hikvision NVR on a different site/IP Address.

The customer has unlimited internet at both ends and data is not be a issue.

I can see the camera on my phone via IVMS-4200, and I can see and IVMS-4500.

I have port forwarded at the camera, Server port 8000.

So I have set up the NVR (different site from the camera) to record the camera's IP address, and it just sits saying "Offline (connecting)", if i change the password, it then says "user name or password is wrong".

Is there another port i need to forward from the Camera to the NVR or something else?

Thank You,
David

RTSP (445) would be needed for the video stream.
8000 does the 'command and control'.
Recommend that you protect the remote site from being hacked by whitelisting your local site in the remote site port-forwarding configuration.
