Holy crap. That last GFS run is showing it stalling south of Tampa (Sarasota) for 24 hours and dumping.... 33-35 inches of rain in 24 hours!

There sure are some wackadoodle models out there. The TABS model sure would be great for most of Florida. The problem with praying for it to go somewhere else is that our prayers answered becomes someone else's nightmare.

Dang. It really looks like Tampa is going to be hit hard.... and they have flooding issues with just heavy rains. A hurricane could easily bring catastrophic flooding! Stay safe guys.

It appears that with every update the storm track is going a little farther East. I hope that the European model is the correct one.

Long-term, the UK models (dark blue) are showing to be more accurate, scary, because it shows Ian crossing FL, emerging into Atlantic, and at 72 hours, still a Cat 3... heading into Charleston...
